2021 Track & Field Schedule:

Practices will be Monday and Thursday from 6:00 pm to 7:30 p.m.
Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. @ Riverside Junior High
unless otherwise alerted in weekly email & Remind app notification.

Important Dates and Meet Schedule:

Body in Training Invitational: Beaver Materials Field 5/29
Westfield Invitational: Westfield High School 6/5
Midwest Championship Invitational: Fishers High School 6/12
IYTA Championship Invitational: Fall Creek Valley 6/26

Coaches Goals:
1.) Have fun and pass on the coaching staff's love of track and field to the athletes.
2.) Help kids become faster and stronger while developing confidence.
3.) Build a successful program that kids want to come back and continue to compete on.

Team Rules:
1.) Be Prepared! Dress appropriately for the weather.  We will practice and compete in the rain.  Don't forget to bring water and hydrate!
2.) Be Safe! Be Alert & Pay Attention at all times.  Look both ways before crossing the track or runways.  If you hear a long whistle, please stop and listen. This will be our signal for coaches  announcements.
3.) Be Determined! Give 100% effort in all workouts & competitions.  You will only get out of this what you put in and you compete like you practice.
4.) Be Respectful & Supportive!  Always listen to the coaching staff, treat coaches & teammates with respect, and cheer each other on.

Practice Breakdown:
The first few practices are designed for conditioning & strength training.  While we do have some event specific training, such as throws & huddles, the rest of the athletes are divided between sprints and distance.  Please talk with your child about which event group they are most interested in. Starting next week the practice layout will look slightly different.  Please see below for an example of how practices will run.
